During this sketchbook project there are a range of images, some successful and some not. There is a general theme that as the sketchbook progresses, the sketches get better however i don't think that this is necessarily because my skill improved as much as there were just more sketches that were more interesting for me to draw. My most successful sketch is shown on the right and actually only took a couple of minutes to do. It is a sketch of a pillar in the Arkwright building. I particularly like it because I feel that it is quite well drawn in terms of proportion and ease to see what it actually is. I feel that adding the darker lines to highlight more important areas of it was a successful idea and gives it more depth. I would have liked to have more pictures similar to this in the sketchbook because too many of them were rough and boring. Overall, I found it quite a useful project as we were able to visually document parts of the course early on. I feel it would be useful to have had this project last longer as many more successful sketches would have come out of it.
